Looks safe and fine to me. Thing I don’t get is if you’re getting DDR3 2000 RAM, why not get a trade-off between 1600MHz but in return get a much better graphics card?

The parts are compatible with each other though if that’s the only thing you’re after.

Answer by Mike
looks excellent, but what i would do is get 4gb of Ram instead, and upgrade your video card to a Ati 5770 or Nvidia 260gtx. the 250 just isnt up to par with the rest of your system. also if your plotting on making this for making a bet you only need 4gb at most anyway. games dont rely as much on the Ram as the video card.

Give your answer to this question below!

I recently bought Transformers 2(for windows) and tried to play it on my new PC.

The PC i use is this: Asus – Essentio Desktop with Intel® Core™2 Quad Processor

The minimum requirements of the game is as follows:
Minimum System Requirements
DirectX : 9.0c
Hard Drive Space : 8 GB Free
In commission System : Windows XP/Vista
Processor : Pentium 4 @ 2.4 GHz/AMD Athlon Equivalent
RAM : 1 GB
Video Card : NVIDIA GeForce 6600/ATI 9800 Pro

Is that too much for my PC? i Dont really know the facts and letters and if someone could help me thatsd be fantastic.

Is the memory card not excellent enough? I only used up 22% of RAM so i dont reckon thats the conundrum.

I also have GTA San Andres and Empire Earth 2 and they run fine.

I tried to reinstall the game but it still lags pretty terribly.

What seems to be the conundrum? Thanks guys

Answer by Akash_Raj
The conundrum is this dude:
Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator X4500

This is not a making a bet graphics card. Its just an on-board integrated graphics meant for show purposes and to play 4-5 being ancient games. You need atleast a decent budget Dedicated graphics card from ATi or NVIDIA to run it.

You can run Transformers 1 game in medium settings though. Delight in!

Answer by silent_threat
RAM is not going to be your conundrum. It looks like it may be your graphics card. If I retract correctly, the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator X4500, is an onboard graphics card. For this game, you may want to go pick up a new Nvidia graphics card, or whatever fits your needs. It could also be the game itself. Some game engines are not the best, and can get really glitchy, even if your computer is the best of the best. For a game like Transformers 2, that is possible. Possibly try lowering the graphic settings of the game. If it stops getting choppy, then it is most liable the game. If continues to stay jittery and choppy, then you may want to pick up a new graphics card.

Answer by Albert
No its not the RAM and Your PC meets all the requirements of the game except for the graphics card which is onboard and terrible. Transformers 2 requires a mid range graphics card like the nvidia 9500gt or the 9600gt which cost around 3500 to 4000 rs to play nicely with no lags.
So, i recommend you to get the nvidia 9600gt so you will be able to play it. By the way you have a fantastic PC and will be even better with the graphics card.

ASUS Eee Pad Transformer and Eee Slate EP121 officially priced & dated
ASUS has confirmed availability and pricing of the Eee Pad Transformer and the Eee Slate EP121 , the company's two new tablets. The Tegra 2 based Android 3.0 Honeycomb Transformer will drop on April 6 – pre-orders will kick off now – priced at £379 ($ 608) for the 16GB version and £429 ($ 688) for the 32GB version. Throwing in the optional keyboard – which also has an integrated battery that …

ASUS have had a strong tablet showing at CeBIT this year, with their entire range on show at the show. Perhaps the most impressive of all was the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer. We give it a quick play in the video above. Though it’s called the Transformer, there’s small Optimus Prime style robotics on show here. Instead, the name refers to the optional QWERTY keypad docking bay the Transformer can pair with, allowing for hardware controls should you need to do intensive typing. Running Android Honeycomb, the tablet is powered by a NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core CPU. We found the touchscreen to be incredible responsive to touch, easily the equal of the iPad or Samsung Galaxy Tab, with swift multi-tasking and impressive video playback. While the argument for and against a keyboard for tablets rages on (you’re only a touchscreen away from a laptop at that point) we came away impressed by the Transformers slick, responsive touch controls, which made it far more user-friendly than many of the tablets we saw launched at MWC.

you seen to be pretty set, try getting a larger video card if possible, i have a similar setup and i run everything smooth. i have plans on upgrading to 2gb ram soon, you might wonna look into tat too

Answer by rawrwg
If you want a making a bet rig, now Intel based systems perform better for most games. The Intel Core Duo processor runs cooler, consumes less power, and outperforms the AMD in nearly all comparisons, and is cheaper to boot. Also, games are getting resource hungry quickly – I wouldn’t even consider building a system for making a bet without putting 2 Gig into it.

I won’t say specifically anything about the components otherwise, as it looks like you’ve got a decent base there. I don’t know why you would want a DVD-ROM and a DVD burner. I just have my burner, and use that as my reader, as well. I estimate some folks will tell you that your burner will wear out or something, but I’ve been by mine for around 3 being now without a conundrum.

Answer by Bill Smith
I was unsure if $ 1200 was your target, or the most you wanted to spend, and $ 800 was your target. Well anyway, for $ 800 that’s pretty excellent, though I might reccomend getting a 5600+ for like $ 80 more, or a 6000+ for about $ 110 more. The graphics card can be upgraded to a 8800GTS 320MB (HIGHLY reccomended) for about $ 40. And I’d instead get 2X1GB instead of 2X.5GB on the RAM. It’s not very expensive, and is very helpful to go from 1GB to 2GB.

asus transformer video

This is beryl 0.1(a compiz fork) running in KDE 3.5 on SUSE Linux 10.1. It works fine by only nvidia extensions to basic Xorg 7.1. No need to bed in memory-hogging xgl ma?tre d'h?tel or configuring aiglx. A few additional nvidia-xconfig tweaks and it runs fine instantly. Direct rendering is automatically enabled. The VMWare guest in commission systems can have accelerated video, while OpenGL apps such as Stellarium and Celestia run as quick as they can.

Right side of the cube: That’s the brilliant software synthesizer Reason 3.0.4 demo version running inside Windows 2000 Advanced Ma?tre d'h?tel in VMWare (allocated 256 MB for guest OS). Crystal clock and Techmon Lite karamba applets.

Left side of the cube: Nothing unusual, just gwenview, Opera, konsole, xmms with semi-transparent OpenGL spectrum analyzer.

I am going to be running Windows Vista, with a 19″ monitor. I left out the keyboard and mouse as well. This is going to be for making a bet, graphic design, and editing.
So far with all peripherals, monitor, and in commission system, the total for the computer is about $ 1500.

Answer by samuel s
I reckon it’s fantastic, but you should reckon twice about getting windows vista, it sucks.

Answer by yodudemama
you doubtless want to get windows xp for now, most games have problems running on vista. and if you can get the 640 mb version of the 8800 gts because in later games it’s gonna require that much memory. and unless you are getting 7 speakers plus a subwoofer (that is 7.1 signal) you doubtless want to get something fit for your speakers, to save some money. everything else is looking excellent i reckon. How much are you playing for this system?

Answer by alchemist_n_tx
I can tell you that that signal card won’t work with Vista. No signal cards work with Vista, except for the Creative X-Fi. That’s also a weak power supply, for what they cost. Don’t get me incorrect, it will power that system, but you’d be much better off with a $ 100 520 watt Corsair; it has more power.

Answer by billy n
well i have 2 suggestions run xp you will despise vista there is to many restrictions at this pouint on games and many free software off the web wich is very usefull are freezing and even crashing the vista os go xp its your best shot really dont reckon that running vista is hot is just like running a mustung with a ford escort engine!!!! 2nd of all this is just a suggestion i had soudblaster but swaped for turtlubeach best mouves i could do more audio controle options and to me better signal quality produce i am hoocked up on a harmonkardon amp and the huge stuff to me its better

Answer by Steal Spartan
get windows XP right now then upgrade later to Vista when it’s more stable other than that it looks pretty excellent. How much is it though? And possibly get a better GPU, like the 640MB version or a Geforce 7 series with 512MB, unless you want DX10 then that’s fine.

Answer by Jessica
That comp will run EVERYTHING maxed out. One thing though – why not get an SSD drive or 2 hard drives to run raid (So they perform better)? if you go all out, might as well get the best. You’ll notice a BIG routine difference with raid / ssd.

Answer by Proto
We’re not worthy! We’re not worthy! :D

Yeah, that’s a godlike making a bet rig…. complete heavy-handedness for simple games like those, which can run maxed on hardware half as powerful. This machine can plow through intense titles like Far Weep 2 and Just Produce 2.

The only minor things I’d change:

1) Sony OptiArcs are the most problematic DVD burners out there. Go with a Samsung, LG, Lite-On, anything else.

2) The Soundblaster X-Fi Fatal1ty is heavy-handedness if you’re not doing audio recording… just extra money spent with marginal benefit over the motherboard audio.

Answer by Doom
Chose,
You should get 2 Black Caviar 1Tb in raid (will be quicker than most SSD).

I’m building about the same rig (i saved a bit by going with a HD5850 1Gb and a excellent 650Watts PSU instead..)

PS: I’d also get some RAM if i were you.. loll

I would go with the second computers specs.

Answer by Sir Lagalot
That depends– there both about the same and I would go for the cheaper one, unless, if you are by it for making a bet, then the sapphire Raedon card is doubtless better for that use.

Answer by Bill Smith
The main difference is the video card, and you don’t say exactly what it is in the second one. Can you find out the actual digit (doubtless has an X1 or X2 in the begining).

Answer by zach
both of these computer are very similar and they are both fine and all but if possible place the athlon x2 5000+ on the same system as the geforce 7900gs video. that would make a better computer than both of these. but if you must choose between these two then i estimate go with the CMUR-274-168–DMR2

Answer by jonboy_2k1
The first one is a basic machine… not for making a bet or graphic intense programs.

The second would be a for games a video editing if that is your thing.

The differences are the quicker process (2.3GHz vs @.6GHz) wich is not enough to really tell the difference in my opinion. The signal card on the second is a small better and it is 7.1 channels. The largest difference is the video card. The Sapphire would be better for games and video editing.

Hope I helped….
